NPEIV is committed to reducing interpersonal violence and its consequences through scientific research and application of observed findings. Through our many partnerships and collaborations, NPEIV is beginning to make great strides in pursuing this goal and becoming an umbrella partnership of many organizations, agencies, and advocate/victims working to end interpersonal violence throughout our Nation. Our Goals

Goal 1: Build greater awareness of the prevalence, consequences, and importance of addressing interpersonal violence across the lifespan among practitioners, researchers, advocates, and policymakers.

Goal 2: Increase access to cross-disciplinary educational opportunities that prepare practitioners, researchers, advocates, and policymakers to better recognize, intervene, and prevent cases of interpersonal violence.

Goal 3: Strengthen connection and collaboration across individuals, organizations, disciplines, and systems addressing interpersonal violence to create higher-quality and more coordinated services.

Goal 4: Increase the capacity of practitioners, researchers, advocates, policymakers, and other members of NPEIV’s audience to better promote and advocate for policies that support violence prevention and intervention.

NPEIV publishes a wealth of content both traditionally and online. Our digital content includes Rapid Responses and Policy Statements related to recent events, as well as researched blog posts focusing on specific issues.

Interpersonal Violence Handbook

The Handbook of Interpersonal Violence is a 2 -year project to produce the definitive, state-of-the-science reference guide covering all aspects of interpersonal violence across the lifespan.
