This presentation will focus on the hidden faces of elder abuse, the types of abuses, and the Aging Network’s response to the hidden problem of older adults who have fallen prey to abuse. Actual case realties will be woven into the presentation. Attendees will be provided methods of interventions to improve the plight of older adults victimized by abuse, neglect or exploitation. The session will explore common forms of abuse and address emerging issues applicable from research to practice. Key milestones impacting the field will be discussed.
