Suicidality is a public health crisis and it is incumbent on mental health professionals to screen all patients for both depression and suicidal ideation. This workshop will examine the indicators, dynamics, and risk factors of suicidality. It will offer participants unique perspectives to understand and manage symptoms, including factors that increase resiliency. Attention is given to the probabilities of suicidality, along with treatment interventions to work through depression and suicidal ideation. Suicide is preventable.
